How to delete a custom domain from a DigitalOcean project

DNS domain is currently in use by a Let's Encrypt certificate, deleting this domain would prevent the Let's Encrypt certificate renewal.

The error above shoved up every time I tried to delete a custom domain from one of my projects on DigitalOcean. In this article I will show you the steps to follow when deleting a custom domain from a DigitalOcean project using Spaces.

Remove domain from Spaces

Navigate to Spaces Object Storage and enter your Bucket. Then, continue into Settings -> CDN -> Change -> Edit CDN Settings

Remove Let's Encrypt SSL certificate

From this screen, navigate to Settings -> Security -> Certificates for Load Balancers and Spaces -> Delete

Last step, remove the domain

It should now be possible to remove the domain from the project by navigation to Project -> Domain -> Delete
